Faculty & Staff
GW faculty and staff play an essential role in preventing discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, including sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking, and related retaliation. GW faculty and staff also play a crucial role in responding appropriately when prohibited conduct occurs within our community. Students are part of our community for a few years at a time, but faculty and staff provide the consistency that is crucial to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at GW.
Faculty & Staff Support
OEO's support is also available to faculty and staff members. If you have experienced discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, including sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking, or related retaliation, there are resources available to support you.
Reporting Responsibilities
As a faculty or staff member, you may have reporting responsibilities when you know about conduct that may reasonably constitute discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, including sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking, or related retaliation involving a member of the GW community.
Protective Environments
In addition to fulfilling your reporting responsibilities as a Designated Reporter, there are a number of ways faculty and staff can help create protective environments across campus.
Mandatory Faculty & Staff Training
All faculty and staff are required to participate in annual training by completing the Anti-Discrimination & Title IX Basics for Faculty and Staff.
